The staff is the only reason this place gets 2 stars. This place is a dump and it smells awful. The duvet was stained which makes me question the cleanliness of everything else in the place. The only thing going for this place is their super friendly staff.
After being a steady customer of this hotel for the last two years (business travel usually a couple times per month), I called to make my reservation for tonight and was told by the manager that the rate would be $90 plus tax. I reminded her that I was a "regular" customer and have been paying $55.19 tax included. After telling me that was impossible, and all but calling me a liar, she looked up my last reservation, and then decided the blame should be on the desk clerks who had been checking me in! When I expressed my dismay at the sharp rate increase and her lack of willingness to compromise, and the fact that she was losing a steady year round customer, she told me to have a nice day, and hung up. Guess being in the top tier Wyndham Rewards bracket doesn't mean squat to this franchise manager!
Not the greatest place. Only 2 drawers on what would qualify as a chest of drawers. Shower head still had tape on it from painting and for some reason a plastic shopping bag wrapped around it. The card reader on the backdoor is out of order so the door is proped open. A bit of a security loop hole I would think. On the plus side really liked the Simmons Beauty Rest bed.
The hotel could use a facelift - the reason why I gave it 3 stars. The front desk lady is friendly and courteous. The free breakfast is simple but free. Understandable when you’re surrounded by other restaurants. It’s a budget-friendly hotel and it’s not bad. If Super 8 wants to be competitive; then, renovate the rooms and hallways.
Clean and modern. Breakfast area is small and the only hot food is make-your-own-waffle.
